Speaking of reversed emperors, Applied Divination is proud to present the divinely inspired and strong feminine characters in Faye's Fortune - a sweet romance with Fortune Telling as the backdrop.
Applied Divination is proud to work with brand new author Emmy Tidning on a unique fiction series!
The sweet, clean stories in Tidning's Second Sight Romance series all involve aspects of fortune telling, the alternative healing arts, or other occult sciences. Here's the blurb for the first novelette in the series, Faye's Fortune, available April 17th from Amazon:
Let's meet Emmy! Hi Emmy, welcome to the Applied Divination family and our blog. What motivated you to write these fortune-telling romance books? There weren't any fortune-teller romances out there! I love the occult sciences and study a great deal about them (my favorite is definitely the Applied Divination series,) but a few weeks ago I felt like reading a nice, quick, fictional story before bed. I still wanted a bit of magic and Tarot - but I couldn't find anything to read that brought my two loves together! So, I decided to write one of my own. There are so many cool parts of the divinatory arts, I have a dream of an entire line of interesting books about them. Where and what is Fallstaff, Missouri? Fallstaff is a fictional, one-horse-kinda town in the center of the state. In my head, it's about 45 minutes to an hour outside of Jefferson City (which does exist.) Fallstaff is named for the comedic Shakespearean character - He's something to laugh at (like the town in my book, which the character Kelsey calls "yokel") but he also offers a lot of insight into the human experience (also like my little town). Another made-up place in the book is the Jefferson City Zoo. There is no Zoo housing pregnant aquatic animals in Jefferson City. Tell us about yourself! I like your pen name. Is that a question? Okay, thanks. My husband has "Emmy" engraved in his wedding band because he was told my real first name wouldn't fit (which is strange because it's much shorter width-wise, but whatever.) It was a cool opportunity to use it as part of my pen name. And Tidning? Tidning is a Swedish word that means magazine, journal, or... paper. What were you doing before you were a writer? I've only ever been a writer and I do not have a corporeal existence outside of this romance novelette. That's a really weird thing to say. I know, I'm a weird figment of your imagination. But do you know what's not weird? Love! Read Faye's Fortune and then come talk about your favorite auspicious romance novels with me. I need more books to read while I write! I can be found on Twitter at https://twitter.com/EmmyTidning Well, there you have it, Tarot friends! A very brief and bizarre conversation with author Emmy Tidning. Faye's Fortune is available for pre-order on Amazon and Amazon worldwide! |
