This knight often values new adventure over common sense. Speaking of fancying new adventure over common sense, I forgot that yesterday was a work day and I discovered HBO Max had all sorts of movies and reality competition shows I'd never seen. So that's why this blog was missing and my other work didn't get done. Oops.  The Knight of Wands charges into the scene, taking bold risks with passion and fun. This knight also has a short attention span and does not stay in one place for long. While the knight can quickly change direction when things are not working out, they may also grow bored of jobs, relationships, or other things that are otherwise healthy.

The Page of any suit are messages. The page of wands generally brings news of new and bright ideas. Here's some news for you - I made a puzzle book which gives you a message from the universe when you complete the puzzle. It's sort of like a DIY tarot reading, but you have to put in some effort first. It's interesting divination fun. Buy it on Amazon now!  The Page of any suit has a lot more freedom than other characters in the Tarot. She, he, or they is young, passionate, engaged and, although intelligent, usually lacks a bit of life experience. Although we're in a difficult time for travel and adventure, the eight of wands says that any trip you take will be life-changing and important. I'm currently planning a trip to Oregon to pick up our new puppy - if that's not a life changing trip, I don't know what is. Six of Wands combinations With The Hanged Man: A sacrifice now results in a win. With Page of Wands: A messenger brings news of a victory. With Ten of Cups: The prize is inner joy and fulfillment. With Ace of Swords: A sharp wit is recognized by the public, such as a joke told by a comedian, or an intelligent discussion in a meeting. With Four of Pentacles: It is time to be humble about your achievements. In my interpretation of this card, large trees were felled, which is an unwinnable battle for the poor trees, but there is the potential for beautiful things to be created from this violent end. Last night, I had a board meeting for a nonprofit I work for. We had a difficult and passionate discussion about the future of the company, and tears were shed, voices were raised, and death glares were sent (it's the most violent you can get in a Zoom call!) But the fight was necessary to get to the truth of the situation - we disagree on the methodology, but we all agree that the company is worth saving. Sometimes the fight in the Five of Wands needs to happen.  When the Five of Wands appears, a conflict has arisen or may happen soon. Perhaps a petty annoyance occurs, or it could be something bigger, like an argument or full on fight.
This card might also represent a sports game or friendly competition. In the Rider-Waite deck, notice that although the five wand-bearers are scuffling, none are seriously hurt nor extremely angry. With Seven of Swords: You may be celebrating for the wrong reasons - Did you act mischievously to get to where you are? With Six of Pentacles: Celebrate success but share the wealth with the less fortunate. Not everyone makes it this far.  Visually, the Three of Wands often portrays a person on the beach overlooking a fleet of ships. The ships have not quite docked yet, so there is still work to be done. However, this card indicates a time where conditions are favorable for success.
